DURGA PUJO VIBES #6

SIXTH DRAFT:

First Part: All about durga pujo , foods, dance with daak beats and dhunuchi naach.

 DISCLAIMER:- This is not a campus diaries blog, because your author is currently on festive vacation so she is now far away from college and having fun in home. No nazar plsss...

If i describe about my festival , from childhood it had been in shell where new dresses , varieties of sweets and going out with ma and baba was a simple part of my festival or spending a holidays in hometown with cousins. But this time , it was something different from what i have grown , from childhood , i have spent my entire existence in different place and grown up in different place coz of baba's job . 

Spent last 5 years in KOLKATA ( Calcutta) , but never ever did midnight pandal hopping which was a different adrenaline rush but it was a fun with lot of mann udaasi. If i say i am not a full kolkata girl because last 5 years in which 2 years i have spent corona which was a isolation period and remaing 3 years was being a part of rat race , means first board exam and then being a neet aspirant with 12th boards. yes! i couldn't clear my neet but i don't regret it too, about this topic i'll talk in a different blog. So parents never allowed me for pandal hopping . This time it was fun ...

Second Part:

PUJO IN HOME- From Bodhon to Dashami night was all fun and filled to make memories coz it was first ever pujo celebrated in my building , bringing ma durga to vidaai of ma was all fun and a bit of saddening too.

From listening to mahisasur mardini on mahalaya at hostel to going pandal hopping and coming out of comfort place to dance in stage was all a highlight of 2025's durga puja. But this time, weather ko hum villain keh sakte hain , kaise ? so, dekho villain ka entry thoda first glimpse mein dikhata hain uske baad end mein ekdum dhamakedaar screenplay chalta hain.Baarish iss baar villain types hi tha entry liya then it didn't continued , par dashami was highlighted with rain and it is continuing till now.....

Third Part: 

HOPPING GOLPO:- Pandal hopping would not be that highlighted but north kolkata's streets , old house, barir pujo would give a peaceful vibe with a nostalgia , posters on the wall, rabindra sangeet humming from the windows of the house would give us the feeling of city of joy . North Kolkata's pujo from Shobhabazar Rajbari, Kumartuli Park full on para based family vibes , narrow lanes where adda sessions with a jamming of bangla rock would be the genre where i have my grown up life ,

But only north kolkata won't complete the vibe of only pujo, South Kolkata's entry would also be a gossip with central calcutta's taxi rides. South kolkata's theme pujo with a modern, stylish aesthetic , with a innovation crafted through pandal . Deshapriya Park to Tridhara Sammilani full on give insta-worthy lighting to new age vibes with loads of crowds with hand full of cameras . Central Kolkata's crossroads where two meets with Park Streets, to Esplanade with a buzzing of late night food stalls and endless traffics, where lights wrap around like poetry which makes u go lost with the flow.

THREE SOULS :-

North, Central and South may differ in light, sound and rhythm but when the daak beats starts, the entire city dances together, because pujo isn't about from where u celebrate it's about where your heartbeats loudest when Maa arrives.   

Khaana khazana would be ultimate enlightment of pujo mood and street food is the protaganist forgetting all about calories and diets & Dance beads with daak beats with dhunuchi smoke , and Asthami'r bhog greeting with laughter and a chaotic plus fashion sense with sophistication gives in all emotions . With a chaos of four days , end day comes so fast that we hope maa stays for more time . 

Sindoor , draping with red-white saree & misti (sweets) mix with emotions of sadness, grief and a hope of "ASCHE BOCHOR ABAR HOBE" we bid goodbye to Maa. And waitng starts......
